HiQ modular systems

Series-production-oriented, modular, flexible, and robust. This is a simple way to describe the HiQ modular product line. A manual workplace today, a firm part of an automation solution tomorrow - this is how Herrmann Ultraschall defines flexibility.

20, 30, and 35 kHz operating frequency

900 – 6,200 W generator power

10 – 2,490 N weld force

An intelligent solution for integrating reliable technology from the series machinery range one-to-one into automated production systems, without compromising on the usual ease of operation. Control units and electrical cabinets are individually mounted according to customer requirements. Knowledge and parameters gained from series machines can be directly adopted into automation. The HiQ modular concept can be supplemented with suitable accessories and options as required.

HiQ DIALOG modular SpeedControl

The drive concept HMC of the ultrasonic welding system HiQ DIALOG modular, patented by Herrmann, allows fast engagement movements of the sonotrodes and gentle contact with the component. This reduces unnecessary non-production time and protects sensitive weld seals of the plastic parts to be joined when the sonotrodes are put in position. Any start point can also be programmed and optimally adapted to the size of the plastic part.

- Weld process control: DIALOG control

- Process-oriented user guidance

- SpeedControl: freely programmable servo-pneumatic drive system HMC

- Ethernet and USB high-speed interfaces

- Process visualization with graphical analysis

Weld process control

The latest generation of weld process software proves the innovativeness of Herrmann Ultraschall. DIALOG G4 stands for superlative software for the control and operation of the weld process, machine equipment, and up to six customized auxiliary functions. The intelligent process control reduces the reject rate, thus increasing efficiency.

- Five basic operating modes

- Two additional expert operating modes

- Process visualization

- Additional software packages

HiQ VARIO modular PropControl

The HiQ VARIO MODULAR product line allows application-oriented configuration. 3 weld frequencies, generator powers from 900 W to 6,200 W and a very wide range of strokes are possible. Demand-oriented weld force ranges can be chosen, activated, and controlled with the reliable proportional valve technology of Herrmann Ultraschall. Graphical displays of the joining curve assist the user in finding parameters and quality recording during production.

- Weld process controller: VARIO control

- Weld process visualization

- PropControl: Proportional valve technology

- Precision  distance measurement

- Modular integration capability

Weld process control

The weld process software of the VARIO series underlines the quality standards of the plastics industry. The graphical display of the joining curve supports the users in the finding of parameters and recording of quality during production. The unicode compatibility of the control panel allows menu navigation in 14 languages.

- Five operating modes

- Process visualization

- Process-oriented user guidance

- Additional software packages

- Weld force switch-over

HiQ LOGIC modular PropControl

With the HiQ LOGIC MODULAR, the focus is on easy operability. A reliable and robust system structure for use in automation systems plays just as important a role as the required accuracy and quality. In this context, the use of position measurement and proportional valve technology, i.e. characteristic features of this ultrasonic welder, is indispensable. Simple parameterization and control of the weld process is reliably carried out via a touch screen operating device.

- Solid, rigid column design

- Process-oriented controller: LOGIC control

- PropControl: proportional valve technology

- Integrated position measuring system

- Simple user interface

Weld process control

LOGIC control – the entry-level class with unicode-compatible touch panel. Password protection and part counters also come as standard. A clearly laid out 5.7” touch screen allows simple parameterization and control of the weld process.

- 5 operating modes

- Operating device 5.7” touch screen monochrome

- 16 application memories

- 50 saved welds per memory

HiQ SOLID modular PropControl

The reliable standards of Herrmann Ultraschall are features of HiQ SOLID MODULAR. The digital high-performance generators used in the SOLID product line possess an integrated weld process controller with which the entire weld process can be controlled. The proportional valve technology is also part of the basic equipment. Mechanically, the product is equipped with precision guiding rails and reliable drive components - the basis for quality and  repeatable welds. There are two product types available for selection: HiQ SOLID STE MODULAR and HiQ SOLID SDM MODULAR with position measuring system.

- Robust column construction

- Integrated control technology: SOLID control

- PropControl: proportional valve technology

- Position measuring system in HiQ SOLID SDM MODULAR variant

- Interfaces for system communication

Weld process control

Ultrasonic welding is reduced to the essentials with SOLID control. The SOLID control STE is the basic model with the three weld modes time, power and energy. The SOLID control SDM is additionally equipped with the distance and depth operating modes

- 3 operating modes: time, power, energy in the controller SOLID control STE

- Plus 2 operating modes: distance and depth in SOLID control SDM

- Operation via keypad with unicode-compatible matrix display

- 8 application memories
